Board Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Wendy Zhou, John Chen, Jerry Xiao, James Zhao, Tony Luo, Danny Zeng, Jenny Zhang, Yan Cao (dial-in), David Wan
Meeting called to order at 2pm by Wendy Zhou.
Discussion of bylaws:

Amend the previous bylaws to add the exception of the two terms of board members when conflicting with section 7.2. This generally only applies to the directors of the first board.

Add a position of Vice President and combine the duties of Run Directors into Event Directors.
First Board Members:

Election of President among first board members (8 votes for Wendy Zhou, 1 vote for John Chen).

Membership

Fee: Individual: $20/year; Family: $30/year (March 1 to February 28)

Benefits: Membership discount on club events; Club support during training and racing, including but not limited to knowledge sharing, pacing, etc. Other member-only benefits such as lottery of New York Marathon entry (together with other requirements)

Duties: Agree to abide by the Club Code of Conduct; Sign waiver of liability; Pay dues; (Following is removed after discussion on Wechat group chat the second day: If race in NYRR Club Points Races, must represent (affiliate with) Misty Mountain Runners in NYRR.)

Code of Conduct: a few keywords: respectful, privacy, no harassment, abide rules of races, encourage to wear uniform

Wechat Group: Create a formal membership Wechat Group. Current Wechat groups stay.

Membership Database: Name/Sex/Phone/Email/Wechat/Zip/; Database for TOP 20 runners (PR, etc)

Announcements: Sent out before Annual Meeting (David to draft letter to be discussed among board on Wechat)
